FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction and is intended for snow compaction, mainly in high-mountain or high-latitude regions with high solar radiation, high reflecting capacity of surrounding snow cover and stably low air temperatures, at which snow does not reach melting temperature or close to it. Invention can be used in construction of winter roads, helipads, aerodrome runways, buildings on snow and ice cover. Method of compaction of snow-ice cover includes milling, heating and compaction of snow mass. Snow mass is heated to -3...-5 °C by accumulating solar radiation.
EFFECT: technical result of invention consists in creation of effective and environmentally safe method of compaction of snow-ice cover, in reduction of power consumption of process and improvement of its environmental safety, as well as in increase of bearing capacity of snow-and-ice cover.
