FIELD: soil or rock drilling; mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the mining industry and, in particular, to methods for forecasting mining and geological conditions of coal mining. Method of dipole-dipole electro-profiling of coal-bearing massif of rocks for prediction of areas of inhomogeneity of coal bed includes arrangement of electrodes of four-electrode installation in minings outlining section under study, excitation of electric field through current electrodes A and B, measurement of its value through measuring electrodes. At that electrodes of feeding dipole AB are arranged in one working, electrodes of receiving dipole MN - in another working, wherein electrodes A and M are placed in the formation roof, electrodes B and N - in the formation soil, feeding and receiving dipoles in the process of measurements are moved according to the specified scheme, and results of measurements are applied to mine works plan in the form of curves of apparent electrical resistance, from which points of inhomogeneity of coal bed are determined.
EFFECT: technical result is determination of electrical inhomogeneities and high accuracy of prediction of areas of inhomogeneity of coal bed.
