FIELD: nuclear equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear engineering. Method for controlling content of radionuclides in radioactive wastes (RW) includes a preparatory stage, which identifies RW flows and determine their radionuclide vectors. Sampling is performed to determine radionuclide vector in flow. Determining their specific activity and standard activity uncertainties relative to the reference radionuclide activity. Reference radionuclide used is a lead heat carrier product 207Bi, and its specific activity is determined using a gamma-spectrometric complex with a resolution of not less than 8 % along 0.662 keV line, the list of target hard-to-detect radionuclides (HD-RN) radionuclide vector include 210Pb, 202Pb and 205Pb. Data on activity of gamma-emitting radionuclides in a counting sample are used in processing readings of a liquid scintillation spectrometer. Treatment is performed by generalized method of least squares with simultaneous consideration of values of uncertainty of measurements of specific activity of reference radionuclide and HD-RN as weights of measured values.
EFFECT: invention increases selectivity, accuracy and sensitivity of determining content of HD-RN in radioactive waste.
