FIELD: medicine; pharmaceuticals.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to pharmaceutics, namely to combined preparation of single use for treatment and prevention of cestodiasis and nematodosis of dogs and cats in tableted form and to application for treatment and prevention of cestodiasis and nematodosis of dogs and cats combined tabletted preparation. Combined preparation for treatment and prevention of cestodiasis and nematodosis of dogs and cats in tableted form consists of R-praziquantel, milbemycin oxime and pharmaceutically acceptable excipients. Use of the combined tablet preparation for treating and preventing cestodiasis and nematodosis of dogs and cats involves using the above single preparation once in a dose of R-praziquantel equal to 2–4 mg/kg of the animal's body weight.
EFFECT: invention provides a tabletted form of an anthelmintics based on a combination of R-praziquantel and milbemycin oxime, characterized by lower toxicity, increased specific cestodiasis activity and improved taste properties.
