FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a titanium alloy with high strength, which can be used for making biocompatible implants. Titanium alloy for making biocompatible implants contains, wt %: oxygen from 0.2 to 1.5, iron from 0.1 to 1.5, carbon from 0.01 to 2, silicon from 0.05 to 0.5, gold from 0.1 to 1, optionally, additionally niobium less than 1, and/or molybdenum less than 1, and/or zirconium less than 1, and/or nitrogen less than 1.5, and/or hydrogen less than 0.2, titanium—the rest. Implant, first of all, the prosthetic implant, is at least partially made of the proposed alloy.
EFFECT: alloy is characterized by high strength and low toxicity.
