FIELD: applying bioinert coatings.
SUBSTANCE: electric explosion of a four-layer composite electrically exploded conductor is carried out. One of the layers of said conductor consists of titanium foil weighing 50-500 mg, the second, third and fourth layers, respectively, consist of niobium, zirconium and tantalum foil with weights equal to 0.5-2.0 of the mass of the first layer. Explosion products form a pulsed multiphase plasma jet. The surface of a titanium alloy implant is melted with it at an absorbed power density of 1.5-1.8 GW/m2. Explosion products are deposited onto said surface and a bioinert coating based on titanium, niobium, zirconium and tantalum is formed on it. Then nitriding is carried out for 3-5 hours at a temperature of 500-600° C. Subsequent pulse-periodic electron-beam treatment of the coating surface is carried out at an absorbed energy density of 20-40 J/cm 2, pulse duration 150-200 μs and the number of pulses from 3 to 5.
EFFECT: bioinert coatings based on titanium, niobium, zirconium, tantalum and nitrogen on a titanium implant.
