SUBSTANCE: invention relates to glazing means and can be used for window glass. In particular, disclosed is a material containing a transparent base coated with a stack of thin layers containing at least one functional coating, containing at least one silver-based functional metal layer having thickness between 2 and 15 nm, optionally at least one blocking layer selected from metal layers, layers of metal nitride, layers of metal oxide and metal oxynitride layers from one or more elements selected from titanium, nickel, chrome and tantalum, one or more functional metal or nitride layer based on niobium, which is located in contact with at least part of functional layer based on silver or is separated from at least part of functional layer based on silver by means of one or more blocking layers, total thickness of which is less than 5 nm. Total thickness of functional layer or layers based on niobium, located in direct contact or separated at a distance of less than 5 nm from at least part of the silver-based functional layer, is between 4 and 20 nm. At that, ratio of total thickness of said one or more functional layers based on niobium to total thickness Said at least one metallic functional layer based on functional coating silver is more than 0.9.
EFFECT: technical result is higher mechanical strength and resistance to chemical effects on material.
