ELECTROSTATIC FLUX METER Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC G01R29/00

Abstract RU 2722477 C1

FIELD: measurement.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric measuring equipment and is intended for measurement of intensity of static and quasi-static electric field during meteorological, geophysical, bioenergy studies, as well as for assessment of ecological state of surface of the Earth and atmosphere. Electrostatic flux meter comprises a signal electrode, a shielding electrode, periodically closing the signal electrode, an electric motor, on the grounded shaft of which a shielding electrode, a first voltage follower, which input is connected to a signal electrode, an amplifier whose input is connected to the output of the first voltage follower, a phase-sensitive rectifier whose input is connected to the output of the amplifier, a voltmeter whose input is connected to the output of the phase-sensitive rectifier. Signal electrode is made in form of two chains consisting of alternating independent signal electrodes, one of which is connected to input of first voltage follower, second voltage follower, which input is connected to second chain of independent signal electrodes, as amplifier is differential amplifier, inverting input of which is connected to output of first voltage follower, non-inverting input is connected to output of second voltage follower, and the output is connected to the input of the phase-sensitive rectifier, an additional screen is introduced, consisting of two chains of alternating independent electrodes shaped to a similar form of signal electrodes, located between the signal electrode chain and the electric motor and connected to the inverting and non-inverting inputs of the differential amplifier.

EFFECT: technical result is high accuracy of measuring intensity of electrostatic field and high sensitivity to weak electrostatic fields.
