FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to controlling the orientation of a liquid booster unit during operation of longitudinally mounted fuel compression engines (or sustainer propulsion unit). Priori information (known prior to flight of the booster unit) on parameters of liquid vibrations in the tank of the booster unit has sufficient accuracy (as simulation shows) for organization of a two-stage programmed turn of the booster unit without measurement of the liquid position in the tank. Turning is performed so that forced oscillations of liquid at its second stage are anti-phase free oscillations caused by the first stage, and thus they are extinguished. To organize such a process, it is necessary to change the algorithm of the software turn rate generation of the booster unit without changing the stabilization automaton operation algorithms.
EFFECT: optimization of cyclic diagram of booster unit functioning by expansion of control system capabilities as to combination of dynamic operations, with simultaneous reduction of disturbances from them.
