FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention represents a method envisaging flies breeding in conditions of insectarium, in which the following parameters are simultaneously and accurately maintained: temperature – (29–31) °C; relative humidity – (55–65) %; illumination mode is 18 hours with light 6 hours in darkness with light intensity of 2,300 lux; substrate egg-laying humidity – 60 %; population density of 250 puparia per 0.125 m3; at the same time providing five-time air exchange per hour, the absence of drafts and air ionization, as well as access of flies to the milk-and-sugar mixture not later than the second day from the moment of leaving the puparia.
EFFECT: ensuring maximally possible egg production and viability of Lucilia flies.
