METHOD FOR DETERMINING A STAGE OF HEPATIC FIBROSIS IN PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC HEPATITIS C Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61B8/08

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to hepatology, and can be used for determining a stage of hepatic fibrosis in patients with chronic hepatitis C. Transient elastometry is carried out using a "FibroScan" instrument. Transient elastometry of the liver is performed by the patient using the M sensor and the XL sensor of the FibroScan instrument. It is examined by means of "FibroTest" method. Transcutaneous puncture biopsy of the liver, as well as sonoelastography with a shear wave in the VI segment of the liver using an ultrasonic scanner Aixplorer. Obtained results expressed in METAVIR points are used to calculate the final fibrosis stage by formula: F_RS=(-0.037)+0.187×(F_M)+0.339×(F_XL)+0.101×(F_FT)+0.304×(F_LB)+0.104×(F_SESW), where F_RS – resultant stage of fibrosis on METAVIR scale, calculated by means of multiple regression analysis; F_M – METAVIR scale fibrosis stage, established by means of elastometry with application of sensor M; F_XL – METAVIR scale fibrosis stage, established by means of elastometry with the use of the XL sensor; F_FT – stage of fibrosis according to METAVIR scale, established by means of "FibroTest"; F_LB – stage of METAVIR fibrosis, established by means of liver biopsy; F_SESW – stage of fibrosis on METAVIR scale, installed by means of sonoelastography by shear wave. If the final result (F_RS) is not an integer, it is subject to mathematical rounding to the nearest integer, resulting in integer from 0 to 4, corresponding to the number of points on the scale METAVIR.

EFFECT: method provides determining a stage of hepatic fibrosis by combining diagnostic techniques.
