FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to hepatology, laboratory diagnostics, and can be used for differential diagnosis of chronic hepatitis B (CHB) and autoimmune liver diseases (AILD) in patients with severe fibrosis and cirrhosis. Blood plasma is analysed for concentration of cytokines IL-2 in pg/ml, IL-8 in pg/ml, IL-18 in pg/ml. Diagnosis in a patient with severe fibrosis and cirrhosis is established by comparing the obtained values with threshold values: at the first stage, concentration of IL-18 is assessed, at the value of which is more than or equal to 200.85 pg/ml CHB is diagnosed, the value less than 200.85 pg/ml requires the second stage. At the second stage, the IL-8 concentration is assessed; if the value is less than 3.86 pg/ml, AILD is diagnosed, and the third stage is required if the value is more than or equal to 3.86 pg/ml. At the third stage, the IL-2 concentration is assessed; if the value is less than 0.137 pg/ml, CHB is diagnosed, and if the value is more than or equal to 0.14, AILD is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method enables differential diagnosis of chronic hepatitis B and autoimmune liver diseases, including autoimmune hepatitis and primary biliary cirrhosis, in patients with severe fibrosis and cirrhosis (F3-4) with a high level of sensitivity and maintaining the required specificity by determining three cytokines in blood plasma: IL-2, IL-8, IL-18.
