FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of determining inter-phase tension (IT) between two fluids. According to the invention, fluid density is pre-determined at preset pressure and temperature and comparative analysis of content of surfactants in said fluids is carried out. Based on the analysis results, a fluid containing a greater amount of surfactants is selected as an external fluid, and a fluid containing a lower amount of the surfactant as an internal fluid is selected. X-ray translucent heat-resistant high-pressure cell is filled with an external fluid and preset pressure and temperature are set in the cell. At least once the inner fluid filled with the external fluid is pumped and internal fluid of the specified size is created inside the external fluid. After formation of internal fluid droplets at least once X-ray photography of internal fluid droplet in external fluid is performed and at least one projection X-ray image is obtained. Obtained X-ray diffraction patterns are processed and an interphase tension between the external and internal fluids is calculated on the basis of the analysis of the internal fluid droplet shape on the projection X-ray image.
EFFECT: high accuracy of determining IT between two fluids.
