FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: control device for vehicle control includes automatic transmission, having: power transfer mechanism having engaging element, variator and electric oil pump. Device also comprises: a control unit configured to end engagement of the engaging member after completion of reducing transmission of the variator, when accelerator pedal opening becomes not less than preset opening during movement control on neutral transmission, which drives mechanism of power transfer into power off state during vehicle movement, in which, when canceling motion control on neutral transmission when engagement of engaging element after engagement of reduction of variator transmission is completed, control unit sets rotation speed of electric oil pump higher compared to case, when transmission reduction of variator is completed after engagement of engaging element is completed. Alternative embodiment of the device and methods of controlling the vehicle are also disclosed.

EFFECT: enabling acceleration of vehicle when canceling motion control at neutral transmission.
