SUBSTANCE: invention relates to transport facilities, particularly, to transmissions. Control device for transmission mechanism (6) comprises torque converter (4) having locking clutch (3). Simultaneous increase in transmission of stepless transmission (6) and locking clutch engagement for locking clutch (3) starts in compliance with request for LU-engagement. Control of transmission increase using stepless transmission (6) shifts the beginning of control relative to request for increase in transfer to standby mode and cancels standby mode when control of LU-engagement of locking clutch (3) changes into locking engagement end of engagement area, and starts control of gear boost.

EFFECT: reduced time required to complete locking engagement engagement.
