FIELD: medicine; pharmaceuticals.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions discloses use of a combined product containing oxidised regenerated cellulose (ORC) and/or oxidised cellulose (OC); and cytotoxic compound, having an effect on glycolysis, for treating cancer, a kit for treating cancer and a method for increasing the toxicity of the compound having an effect on glycolysis. Method involves contacting ORC and/or OC with one or more cancer cells, tissue and/or organ; and administering a cytotoxic compound selected from a group consisting of anthracyclines, wherein the compound having an effect on glycolysis is in contact with the cell, tissue and/or organ in an unmixed form.
EFFECT: invention provides selective localization of cytotoxic compound in tissue and/or organ and can be used for treating a wide range of malignant cells.
