FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of inorganic pigments and can be used for making enamels, glazes, ceramic paints, polymer fillers, as well as for volumetric and surface colouring of building materials and articles. Ceramic brown pigment contains the following, wt. %: pyroxenite, containing, wt. %: augite 57.7–67.2, clinoenstatite 23.7–32.0, forsterite 4.3–5.8, serpentine 4.7–4.8, 73–82, magnetic fraction after enrichment of nepheline-containing syenite 11–17, iron oxide 3–5, chromium oxide 0.5–1.0, manganese oxide 3–5.
EFFECT: technical result is maintaining stable intensity of colouring when using pigment in a wide range of firing temperatures of 850–1250 °C with high purity of tone and brightness of coating.
