SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of removing water from composition A, involving: (A) an acrylic acid derivative of formula (I), in which R¹ and R² are hydrogen, R³ denotes alkyl and X denotes halogen; (B) water and (C) alcohol, wherein the method comprises washing with water the composition B containing an acrylic acid derivative of formula (I) and a water-soluble impurity, where the impurity is an alcohol, removing the aqueous phase formed by washing, to obtain composition A, which is an organic phase, and introducing composition A into reaction with the zeolite.

EFFECT: present invention aims at developing a method of efficiently removing water from a composition which contains an acrylic acid derivative and water.
