SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the use of printed characters, such as QR-codes, for authentication of goods. That is ensured by placing the vendor and merchandise information in the Internet platform and generating the QR code; printing a QR code and placing it on the article; buyer activates QR-code after purchase of goods and receives information on seller and product. Novelty is that for each separate commodity one QR-code is generated; QR-code printing is performed with application of protective erasable layer on it to prevent copying and random scanning. Consumer erases the protective erasable layer for scanning the QR-code with the help of the mobile device and receives information on the mobile device about the seller and the goods, as well as information on the number of scans of this QR-code. Thereafter, the QR code used is deactivated in the Internet platform, and the buyer, through an Internet platform, including a database containing information on the time, date and location of the first QR code activation, obtains information and sales statistics in one or another region.

EFFECT: technical result is to increase safety of purchase-sale of goods by having a unique QR code for each individual commodity, including information on manufacturer and authenticity of goods; protection against accidental scanning; protection against repeated scanning; as well as possibility of determining location, date and time of QR-code scanning, with preservation of said data and keeping statistics thereon, which provides advantages for both seller and buyer.
