SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine and a method for preparing an artificial dura mater comprising steps of producing a collagen sponge from a sterile transparent aqueous solution of collagen, compression of the collagen sponge to obtain an artificial dura mater. Group of inventions also relates to artificial dura mater produced by said method; use of said artificial dura mater for plasty of dura mater of brain or spinal cord in traumatic and / or nontraumatic injuries of dura mater.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides plasty of dura mater of brain or spinal cord.
