FIELD: oil industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in determining behind-the-casing flows of well. Method of determining cross-flow overflows involves recording a series of thermograms in different operating modes of a downhole pump: at operating sucker-rod pump and with stopped sucker-rod pump in inflow mode, starting from bottomhole pressure above saturation pressure of formation fluid with gas. Thermal anomalies—temperature above average temperature background of the well are determined. Further, in temperature anomalies and below perforated intervals temperature dependences are defined as a function of pressure, and sections with inverse relationship are identified, which characterize behind-casing crossed flows.
EFFECT: disclosed method for determining cross-flow flows is simple and reliable due to the possibility of cutting off the results of thermal investigations of temperature heating of underlying formations, throttling overflows in the perforation interval, due to determination of temperature dependence on pressure and separation of sections with inverse relationship, which characterize behind-flow cross flows from below upwards.
