FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of producing granular foam glass-ceramic filler, comprising grinding zeoliticised rock, preparing a crude mixture by mixing crushed rock with aqueous sodium hydroxide solution in ratio to dry substance, wt%: zeoliticised rock – 75–80; sodium hydroxide – 15–20, water – the rest, subsequent granulation of the mixture, carbonization of sodium hydroxide in granules and annealing of granules in the furnace. Granulated mixture is additionally powdered with refractory powder, wherein carbonization of sodium hydroxide in granules is carried out in flow of off-gases from combustion of carbon-containing fuel for 10–30 minutes, and annealing of granules – in temperature range of 700–900 °C.
EFFECT: reduction of prime cost of granulated foam-glass-ceramic fillers made from zeolite rocks by alkaline technology, simplification of technological process and production of aggregates with wider density range of 100–600 kg/m3.
