SUBSTANCE: invention relates to augmented reality (AR). Computing device (120) for supporting augmented reality (AR) software application is actuated to select physical location (131) for placing current virtual object (104), where current virtual object is placed when overlaying video sequence, capturing physical scene (100; 200) in user environment (110), based on expected physical location, user in response to display (123) of physical scene and superimposed current virtual object to user, and an attribute which is spatially dependent and which affects the user experience of the AR application software. At that, the space-dependent attribute is related to the operating characteristic of the wireless connection used by the AR application software.
EFFECT: technical result is providing selection of physical locations for placing virtual objects with software applications AR.
