FIELD: monitoring and measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control and measurement equipment and is intended to control thickness and / or composition of thin object moved through machine, as well as moment of passage of thin object through location of sensor. Electrostatic sensor for control of the moved thin object comprises an electroconductive toothed shaft and a main receiving electrode, between which there is a gap for movement of a thin object in it. Gear shaft is installed with possibility of rotation, at which its surface, which faces the gap, moves in the same direction as the thin object with linear speed equal to speed of movement of the thin object or exceeding it. Sensor also includes an amplifier configured to generate an output signal of the sensor, wherein the main receiving electrode is connected to the main input of the amplifier. Electric circuit of the sensor is configured to apply a polarizing potential between the gear shaft and the main receiving electrode so that the average value of the polarizing potential is maintained at a predetermined level.
EFFECT: simple design of the sensor.
