FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: sheet is moved in a tract through a device with transmitting electrodes on one side of the tract and a receiving electrode on the opposite side oppositely to transmitting electrodes. Transmitting electrodes are divided into groups, besides, one and the same transmitting electrode may belong to more than one group. Each group is divided into two subgroups. An exciting signal is sent to the first subgroup of electrodes, and the signal that is opposite to the exciting signal of the first subgroup is sent to the second subgroup. Correlation is determined between the exciting signal and the signal from the receiving electrode. Correlation is analysed, and on this basis availability of sheet irregularity in the specified area is specified.
EFFECT: improved validity of irregularity detection and reduced complexity of design.
