FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to adhesive materials and more specifically to methods of producing polymer hot-melt adhesives intended for forming adhesive bonds between different materials, including metals, characterized by high strength of formed bond in extended temperature range of application. Disclosed is a method of producing a hot-melt adhesive, comprising hydrogenating an oil-polymer resin obtained by copolymerisation of monomers – vinyltoluene, dicyclopentadiene, indene and α-methylstyrene, mixing the hydrogenated petroleum polymer resin with a copolymer of ethylene with vinyl acetate and polyethylene wax and cooling, characterized by that styrene is used as a monomer in the ratio of monomers in resin, wt%: styrene 30–50; vinyltoluene 10–20; dicyclopentadiene 30–40; indene 4–12; α-methylstyrene 4–8, hydrogenation is carried out to obtain petroleum polymer resin, in which is hydrogenated 10–55 wt% aromatic fragments, and when mixing first, the hydrogenated oil-polymer resin is dissolved in the molten polyethylene wax to obtain a homogeneous solution, then a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate is added to the obtained solution and mixed with a two-rotor mixer at 110–130 °C to obtain a homogeneous mixture in the following ratio of melt components, wt%: hydrogenated oil-polymer resin 10–40; polyethylene wax 10–40; copolymer of ethylene with vinyl acetate – balance.
EFFECT: increased elasticity of glue-melt and its adhesion to metal, expansion of temperature range of application and reduction of its viscosity at cost effectiveness of production.
