FIELD: production of hydrocarbon resins.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to production of a resin using thermal copolymerization of a cyclic diolefion compound having from 5 to 11 carbon atoms and an aromatic compound containing indene and/or C1-4-alkylindene, as well as at least one vinyl aromatic compound. The resulting resin has a PDI of 1 to less than 2.3 and 4 to 20 wt.%, based on the total weight of the hydrocarbon resin, indene and/or C1-4 -alkylindene units.
EFFECT: proposed invention makes it possible to obtain light-coloured hydrocarbon resins that are highly compatible with the base polymers of various hot-melt adhesives, which allows their use as an adhesive enhancer.
