FIELD: manufacturing technology; insulation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to insulation of zones of complications of pipes and pipelines of various purposes, for example, main, field and other pipelines from pipe sections or from separate pipes intended for transportation of oil, bottom-hole water, gas, oil products, water and other media. Device includes a tubular shutter and a straightening element. Tubular shutter is made in the form of an expandable bushing from modified thermoplastic polymer with possibility of expansion in diameter at heating to the size exceeding internal diameter of pipe, which outer surface is made with an adhesive layer, the melting point of which is lower than the melting temperature of the material of the sleeve. Straightening element is a heater providing heating of the bushing to expansion temperature. Electric heater is used as heater.
EFFECT: simplified design, increased reliability and functionality.
