FIELD: control of power supplied to aircraft engines.
SUBSTANCE: to provide for current balancing between parallel connected first and second inverter units of modular converter system a system controller is configured to determine an offset value for a gate driver based on corresponding voltages at the output phase nodes of the first and second inverter units. System controller controls the gate driver for the inverter units based on the offset value for the gate driver. Control drivers of the gate drive the first and second inverter units by means of serial control signals so, that values of current, output by the first and second inverter units when generating in-phase output power, are balanced.
EFFECT: reduced number of used controllers and losses at high power.
