FIELD: electrical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a system and method for providing power to a vehicle. System may include multiple parallel modular converter modules ("modules"), each of which is configured to supply a given electrical load. Plurality of parallel modular converter modules can be connected to a network to form a parallel modular converter ("converter") for assigning priorities and assigning each electrical load to one or more parallel modular converter modules. Each module may include an internal protective controller and a logic controller. Separate modules can provide power supply to various loads in vehicle separately or in combination with other modules. System may enable to use fewer power controllers, save weight and time. Controllers in the system can also be used at a higher level with reduced unnecessary redundancy.

EFFECT: technical result is possibility of more complete utilization of efficiency of each engine controller with reduction of weight of system, its cost and complexity.
