FIELD: environmental protection.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to environmental protection, in particular to devices intended for special purposes, namely for collection of contaminants from the surface of open water reservoirs when performing works for protection of natural resources in places of location of oil catching structures. Device for cleaning floating debris from surface of water reservoir includes settling tank – oil catching closed reservoir 1, receiving device in form of pipe 2 and discharge device for discharge of purified water from lower part into drain water reservoir 3 with tap 4 for control of processes of collection of contaminated water, settling and drainage. Pipe 2 is equipped with L-shaped branch 5, inlet of which is lowered to depth of closed reservoir 1, excluding capture of garbage and/or sediment from bottom and surface of water reservoir 1. Tap 4 is installed above closed reservoir 1. Pipe 2 from tap 4 on drain side 6 is provided with holes 7 made from above and provided with possibility of tight shutoff by gate 8. Closed water reservoir 1 is configured to raise liquid level above pipe 2 with holes 7 when tap 4 is closed. Holes 7 are made with size sufficient to pass large debris from surface of closed water body 1, but not larger than inner diameter of pipe 2. Drain 6 of pipe 2 is equipped with detachable basket 9 for collection of garbage trapped by holes 7.

EFFECT: proposed device for cleaning floating debris from surface of water reservoir enables to simplify and reduce the cost of structure due to exclusion of serviced parts and structural elements, which consume energy, which together leads to simplification and cheapening of manufacturing and maintenance.
