FIELD: hydraulic engineering.
SUBSTANCE: floating garbage trap relates to hydraulic engineering. Device (stationary or mobile, provided that it remains fixed relative to water surface level), comprises: container 1 with cylindrical hole 8 in upper part, system of check valves 10 in lower part and split bottom 9; cylindrical guide 2, with longitudinal projections located on its inner surface, rigidly fixed in container 1; neck 3 with longitudinal grooves 13 located on its outer cylindrical surface, while the inner surface of neck 3 is formed by an inlet confuser section located in its upper part, which is smoothly conjugated with the following cylindrical damping section; replaceable floats 4 installed in L-shaped slots 14 made in lower part of neck 3 on its outer cylindrical surface; detachable filter screen 5 installed in neck 3, and water pump 6 with a system for removing water from container 7, installed inside container 1 and rigidly fixed with a flange to the detachable bottom of container 1. Device is designed to collect floating debris, including plastic bottles, bags and other wastes, for further recycling.
EFFECT: providing a constant flow of water through the device in order to efficiently and safely trap garbage from the surfaces of water bodies and accumulate it, as well as to prevent the collected garbage from being washed back into the water body.
