FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to means of assessing the level of security of websites through detection of anomalies on multiple websites. Method of detecting anomalies for a certain group of sites in a network comprises steps of: obtaining site parameters requiring security level estimation; generating at least one heuristic rule based on the obtained site parameters for monitoring said group of sites; monitoring each site from said group of sites, during which: periodically scans each site to collect statistical information on both content of pages of sites, and on loaded sites of site, where periodicity of scanning depends on monitoring settings; accumulating statistical information on each site based on periodical scanning; stored statistical information is stored in a database, wherein indicators of accumulated statistical information are averaged; performing periodic analysis of statistical information, during which the peak deviations from the average value are searched; when peak deviation is detected, availability of anomaly on specified groups of sites is determined.
EFFECT: high level of site security.
