SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metalware production and can be used in production of ropes of closed structure and includes method and device for this production. Method for production of non-tightening ropes of closed structure, consisting in that shaped wire, unwinding from charging coil, is pulled through device for preformation of shaped wire, where it is swirled around its own axis by 180–360° in the direction opposite to direction of rope twist between two pairs of roller preformator, fixation of shaped wire is performed by rollers of preformator at distance depending on pitch of lead and marking group of rope, then wire spontaneously spins about its axis, stretches through straps with shaped holes in distributing pattern and, additionally twisting, smoothly enters crimping rams.

EFFECT: with the help of the present group of inventions, technical result is achieved, which consists in neutralization of internal elastic stresses arising during wire drawing of wires, by preforming of shaped wires and non-indulgence of rope of closed structure, increase in service life of ropes of closed structure due to exclusion of output of shaped wires from mutual engagement.
