FIELD: rope production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rope production and is used in engineering structures. The present invention is aimed at the creation of a low rotation rope of steel closed structure. The outer layer of the rope is made of pairs of shaped wires of omega-shaped cross-section, while the shaped wires of omega-shaped cross-section in a pair have the same profile height of 4÷6 mm. However, they are characterized by a different cross-sectional area. To reduce technological imbalance of the rope from torsion, the shaped wires of omega-shaped section or x-shaped and omega-shaped section during the production of ropes additionally undergo axial twisting. The peripheral part of the rope is twisted in opposite directions with a lay angle in layers equal to 15÷20°.
EFFECT: invention helps to make rope production more effective.
