FIELD: fire extinguishing.

SUBSTANCE: method for pressure metering of foaming agent in water for automatic installations of foam fire extinguishing includes stages, on which two separately arranged completely identical foaming channels are used, wherein one channel is used as the main, working, channel, and the second one is used as backup, both channels are connected to common collector, which is further connected to source of foaming agent by means of two separate inputs (main and backup), besides, provision is made for elimination of idle channels of the channels operation and exclusion of counter-pressure phenomena in them, additionally providing control of flow rate and pressure of water supplied for mixing with foaming agent, at simultaneous provision of controlled supply of design flow rate of foaming agent coming from permanent and uniformly operating main pump, (or operating pump of backup channel, in case of failure in working channel), by moving the crane control member with the rotary electric drive installed in the channel, into a position corresponding to the control signal, which is formed depending on the volume of water supplied for mixing. To implement the method, an automatic pressure metering device is made in the form of a modular design of a technical means of realizing the method with high degree of factory readiness, which after connection to water source, to source of foaming agent and to fire extinguishing direction does not require additional adjustment.

EFFECT: disclosed is a method for dispensing a foaming agent.
