FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: measuring device of spine size and shape contains transparent screen equipped with two vertical and one horizontal guides. On horizontal guide, which can move along vertical guides, movable carriage with two displacement sensors is installed. First sensor measures carriage linear movement along the horizontal line and is made as an optical sensor of linear displacements with a quadrature code. Second sensor is a meter of depth of bends of the spine and is made as an optical triangulation sensor of linear dimensions. Vertical guides are also equipped with linear displacement transducer. Outputs of sensors are connected to inputs of corresponding signal converters equipped with standard communication port with computer, through which they are connected to computer, in which there is a program for processing signals from sensors (e.g. Mathcad), which enables to output a three-dimensional image of the spinal on the plotter. Carriage with a triangulation sensor is manually guided so that the light spot of the triangulation sensor coincides with the bone process of the patient with its back pressed to the transparent screen.
EFFECT: invention enables input of digital information on the shape and size of the spine into a computer with availability of wide application and high accuracy.
