FIELD: chemical or physical processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing urea. Method comprising steps of: converting methane-containing, as well as preferably a desulfurized initial gas stream (NG) with oxygen by partial oxidation to form a synthesis gas stream (S) containing hydrogen and carbon monoxide, converting carbon monoxide from a stream of synthesis gas (S) in a reaction of converting water gas to carbon dioxide and hydrogen, separating the stream of synthesis gas (S) obtained in the conversion reaction, at least one first and second partial streams of synthesis gas (S', S''), wherein first partial synthesis gas flow (S') is subjected to adsorption at variable pressure, wherein hydrogen is separated from first partial flow of synthesis gas (S'), and second synthesis gas partial stream (S'') is subjected to adsorption at variable temperature (50, 52), wherein carbon dioxide is separated from second partial stream of synthesis gas (S''), conversion of separated from first partial flow synthesis gas (S') of hydrogen with nitrogen in ammonia and conversion of ammonia with separated from second partial flow of synthesis gas (S'') with carbon dioxide into urea. Also disclosed is a device for producing urea.
EFFECT: invention improves previous methods of producing urea by obtaining in the method amount of CO2 sufficient for complete conversion of ammonia (without delivery of CO2 from external sources).
