FIELD: burial of radioactive wastes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technical means intended for disposal of radioactive wastes (RAW) and can be used in conservation of open surface water reservoirs of liquid RAW. Container for RAW comprises case made from concrete with detachable top part in form of flat cover. On walls of housing there are at least two gates with loading openings. One gate is installed on the side of the upper part of the body. Other gate is located on the side wall on the side of the lower part of the case. Each gate includes bushing made from sodium bentonite. Axial cylindrical channel of the bushing forms a loading opening of the bolt. Sleeve is fitted in locating bore made in case wall.
EFFECT: invention increases localization efficiency of highly active RAW and safety of handling RAW due to automation of container loading process.
