FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to bracing and orthesis building, and discloses a method for making sleeves of prosthetic-orthopedic articles from composite material. Method enables to obtain sleeves with specific weight of not more than 0.85 g/cm3, wherein sleeve has air permeability, thermoplasticity, has areas with both rigid and elastic and plastic sections in accordance with medical indications, with antibacterial coating inside and membrane, softening insert. Process of making sleeves for orthesis by the proposed method leads to reduction of wastes and labor input for fabrication of one article (sleeve), increase of labor productivity, which in its turn increases output of prosthetic-orthopedic items.

EFFECT: invention can be used for orthesis treatment of children, adolescents and adults with various pathologies of lower, upper extremities and body, with primary increase of muscle tonus, including those occurring in infantile cerebral paralysis (ICP), the consequences of craniocerebral injuries (CCI), encephalitis, early organic damage of the central nervous system (CNS), congenital anomalies of cerebral development, extrapyramidal disorders of various geneses, etc.
