FIELD: medical engineering; prosthetics. SUBSTANCE: method is realized by manufacture of gypsum model of object being copied in standard way. Model is covered with reinforcing fabric, impregnated with polyurethane binder and subjected to polycondensation process. Then rigid sleeve of constant width equal to about 1 mm is separated from gypsum model, heated at temperature of 80- 100 C till sufficient elasticity is obtained. This done, it is turned inside out, thus obtaining exact inversely symmetrical copy of original since polyurethane is not thermoplastic, and after cooling it preserves form obtained during polycondensation. EFFECT: rapid formation of inversely symmetrical copy of any part of patient's body completely corresponding to original.
