FIELD: drilling of wells.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a rotating downhole tool. Rotary downhole tool comprises a tool housing forming a calibrating zone, and at least one calibrating roller fixed freely on the housing. At least one gaging roller has an axis of rotation which is inclined to the axis of rotation of the housing when used, so that rotation axis of at least one calibrating roller lies on surface of imaginary cone. Damping device is provided to counter acceleration of calibrating roller and/or to limit its rotation speed.
EFFECT: technical result consists in reduction of wear and resistance to rotation, increased stability of tool.
