FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of part of chassis made from micro alloy steel characterized by improved cold processing at sheet metal edges hardened in cold state after mechanical separation, including the following stages of method: obtaining hot-rolled strip or hot-rolled strip sheet from sheet metal, characterized by disclosed composition of alloy in weight percent; cutting the workpiece at room temperature and optionally performing additional piercing or cutting operations; heating solely the sheet metal sheet regions to a temperature of at least 700 °C, at holding time of not more than 10 seconds and subsequent cooling when using air; cold molding of billet in one or several stages to obtain part of chassis at room temperature.

EFFECT: disclosed is a method of producing chassis parts from microalloyed steel characterized by improved deformability in cold state.
