FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing a component for the automotive industry. It can be used in mechanical engineering or in civil engineering, with at least one auxiliary molded element. The method includes the steps of: a) providing a workpiece cut from a metal strip or metal sheet at room temperature, optionally having recesses and / or holes obtained by die cutting or cutting operations, and having edge portions of the workpiece strain hardened when the workpiece is cut, die cut or cutting grooves and / or holes, b) heat treatment of selected work-hardened edge regions of the workpiece, wherein said edge regions are heated to a temperature of at least 600 °C for a period of maximum 10 seconds, c) shaping of the heat-treated edge regions of the workpiece at a temperature the environment to obtain a component with an untreated auxiliary molded body, and d) sizing to obtain a component with an auxiliary shaped body, wherein the untreated auxiliary shaped body is molded at ambient temperature into the auxiliary shaped body, having increased and / or uniform wall thickness as compared to the untreated auxiliary molding.
EFFECT: technical result consists in obtaining a component with an auxiliary molded element in which the geometric boundary conditions, for example, the wall thickness and /or the wall height of the auxiliary molded element, are amenable to deliberate and individually implemented regulation.
