SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to foamed polystyrene particles. Described are foamed polystyrene particles containing graphite, in which graphite content is from 2.0 wt % to 8.0 wt % in terms of 100 wt % foamed polystyrene particles, graphite has an average particle size of 2.5 mcm to 9 mcm, in which case where the solution in which the foamed polystyrene particles are dispersed in toluene, undergoes measurement by laser diffractometry using laser radiation with wavelength of 632.8 nm, intensity of scattered laser radiation in terms of unit concentration of graphite in solution is not less than 5 {%/(mg/ml)}/wt %. Also disclosed are versions of foamed polystyrene particles, versions of pre-foamed particles, versions of molded articles from foamed polystyrene, versions of the method of making foam polystyrene particles.
EFFECT: improved foaming and improved heat-insulating properties of the material.
