SUBSTANCE: tap includes cutting, calibrating and tail parts. On the working part there are feathers separated by counter-directed helical grooves of the left and right directions. At that, in order to obtain the right-hand thread profile on the cutting part, the halves of the thread profile are alternately cut off so that halves of teeth facing the working end of the tap are cut on the feathers with helical flute grooves of the left direction, and on feathers with helical chip flutes of right direction are cut parts of teeth facing tail part.

EFFECT: higher quality of thread cutting by providing positive normal front angles on side cutting edges.
