SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and a device for determining a database state. Method includes determining a state transition operation performed on a target database, and determining, based on the determined state transition operation and the state value, which relates to the target database and which exists before performing a state transition operation, a state value which relates to the target database and which exists after the state transition operation, wherein the state value is used to represent the state of the target database.
EFFECT: technical result consists in reduction of computational resources due to the fact that operation of state transition of target database is not performed on all database data.
