FIELD: ventilation and air conditioning.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a variable-cross-section fan control system(VAFN). Fan nozzle with variable cross-section can have multiple shutters and can be used with gas-turbine engine. Control system may include a primary system, configured to collect primary data characterizing operating mode of fan nozzle with variable cross-section, secondary system, configured to collect secondary data characterizing the current operating mode of the gas turbine engine and a control module having operational communication with the primary system and the secondary system. Control module can be configured to determine cross-sectional area of fan nozzle with variable cross-section based on at least partially primary data, correction of nozzle cross-section area obtained by determination based on secondary data and location of said plurality of shutters according to corrected nozzle cross-section area.
EFFECT: disclosed are secondary systems and control methods for fan nozzles with variable cross-section.
