SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to personal hygiene. Aqueous composition for personal hygiene contains more than 60 wt. % by weight of water composition; system of preserving agents and preservative enhancing agent comprising a mixture of pegylated alkyl glycerides, where composition contains 1 wt. % of a pH regulating agent, by weight of the composition, more than 0.5 wt. % sodium benzoate by weight of the composition, more than 0.3 wt. % C₃-C₁₀ alkyl polyol by weight of the composition, and more than 0.1 wt. % of the pegylated alkyl glycolide by weight of the composition, and wherein ratio of preserving system and preservative enhancing agent is from 3:1 to 6:1. Also disclosed is a method of protecting mammal skin against microorganisms.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides personal hygiene compositions with high water content, which are stable and demonstrate sufficient level of microconservation.
