SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the cosmetic industry, more specifically to a personal care composition containing a cationic surfactant, which is salt C₈-C₂₄ alkyltrimethylammonium; mixture of nonionic surfactants which contains an amine oxide and a fatty acid amide, wherein the amine oxide is selected from laurylamidopropyldimethylamine oxide, myristamidopropyldimethylamine oxide and combinations thereof, fatty acid amide is cocomonoethanolamide; structure-forming agent containing cross-linked polyacrylate-1 polymer in amount of 1.5–7 wt. % (by weight of composition), wherein the weight ratio of the surfactant to the mixture of nonionic surfactants ranges from 0.8:1 to 1:0.8 and the pH of the composition ranges from 1.0 to 8.0. Also disclosed is a skin cleansing method by applying the above composition for personal hygiene onto the subject's skin.
